Croom Community Development Association has undertaken several project in recent years , to help develop the local community and the facilities.
Two of the major initiatives that the Association were involved in since its inception were the development of a Community Hall and also the purchase of land in the town, known locally as “The Well Meadow” for recreational purposes. The Community Hall has for over 20 years been a place for community members to congregate and engage in various activities from sports to education, dancing to car boot sales. The Well Meadow has been used for many different purposes over the years including a pitch and putt club.
The success of previous developments has now been added to with the construction and opening of the Croom Enterprise Centre in 2013 and the Civic Centre and Town Park in 2014. All of these facilities open avenues of opportunity that were previously unavailable, and will play a central role in the future development of Croom.
