Now in its fourth year, the Croom Christmas Craft Market has grown into one of the most popular festive events in Limerick. We are delighted to host such amazing artists and crafters. We work through the summer to bring you a selection of the fantastic crafters that we meet. It is tough to say no to some of the crafters, but we can’t have ten people selling similar gift items.
What will you expect on the day I hear you ask? Well, last year I was able to buy my speciality cards for family overseas and the first Christmas gifts! So, I was delighted - I did a little purchasing for myself and treated myself to a gorgeous headband for a dressy outfit. I got a little gift to send to an elderly cousin in the States and bought some friends fabulous ceramics. Oh yes, I got some tasty jam, yes, another present for myself!
The artists and crafters are from across the Midwest, and many are within only a couple of kilometres of Croom, so you really are supporting local. Attending the event is also helping Croom Community Development Association in the work that we do across Croom, including Croom Town Park.
There are lots of new stalls this year, , Jack Reynolds with delicious butternut chocolates, Margaret's Sewing Creations, which creates beautiful bags and accessories, and many more new stalls this year. The artist Eamon Baggott will have his beautiful art and also some gift items for the Limerick GAA fans. We are delighted to support young crafters including James Condon with his woodwork.

The event is a great opportunity to meet the maker, and to get some very unique gifts from the stocking filler to the individual present for someone very dear. There will be 50 stalls with a large selection of items and lots of new artists at Croom. You can make a day of the event and book yourself for brunch or lunch at the Aubergine Restaurant. There will be tea and coffee, Mulled Wine (!) and some sweet treats at the Market, and when my mom was with me, she was very happy to take a break and then have a second look about to make sure she didn’t miss any shopping opportunity.
Hope to see you at the Christmas Craft Market, November 23rd at Croom Sports Hall, V35 PT04 11 am – to 3 pm
