Fleadh Cheoil Luimnigh Saturday, May 31st and Sunday, June 1st
We are all delighted to welcome the competitors and their families to Croom for the Fleadh Cheoil Luimnigh. With the competitions being held at Coláiste Chiarain, the Fleadh committee is sure that the competitors will have a wonderful location for the competition.
I was really interested to hear about the new plaques on offer to competitors and the “history” behind the commemoration of the competitors who have gone before, and the parents who have ferried young people around the country to compete and keep our traditions alive and relevant. A huge thanks to Comhaltas Castleconnell, Ahane, Herbertstown CCE for bringing this event to Croom.

So, what is on offer for the June Bank Holiday? Lots….. for the families attending I hope that you will take the time to visit Croom, get your steps in at Croom Town Park. We have a tree trail on ww.cromadh.com/native-irish-tree-trail.html. Or simply take the small ones to the playground. Aubergine Restaurant is also at Croom Town Park, and so whether it is a quick coffee between competitions or breakfast, or lunch, there will be a welcome in the restaurant or on the patio. Broderick’s SPAR is on Main Street for any treats, and in the case of an emergency, Plunkett’s Pharmacy is across the street. That reminds me that the DEFIB is at the front door of Croom Civic Centre V35TT68
