It has been a very busy month in April in Croom

Climbing wall

We had lots of young people brave enough to climb to the roof! Great to see such young people seven and upwards try a different sport. There was great enjoyment.
More dates to come over the summer the first June 11th, just in time for the secondary school holidays. Check out www.Cromadh.com/events/all

Good Friday

Good Friday was a very busy day. CCDA, Croom Active Retirement, Croom CE, Croom Tidy Towns and lots of individuals and families took part in TLC. Everyone was out bright and early that Friday morning, covering five areas around Croom. 1. St. Senans Terrace and surrounding area 2. CosMá and surrounding area 3. High St, Church St & out as far as the GAA grounds 4. Bruff line and 5. Skagh area. It was a super clean up. All arrived back at Croom Sports Complex afterwards to have tea and chat with friends and neighbours.

Easter Egg Hunt

A first for Croom Town Park. An Easter Fun day for our younger community. The weather did its thing, and the sun shone. Having been decorated, the Park looked terrific. There were a series of challenges and painted eggs to be found. Once found, they redeemed the last egg for a chocolate egg. There were also 4 golden eggs to be found over the course of the afternoon and Easter gift bags for those who found the eggs. Lots of excited children, enjoying themselves in the sunshine. It was wonderful to see.

Afternoon Tea

Maureen Curtin put a group of volunteers together to raise funds for the Civic Centre building fund. The afternoon tea was well supported and proved to be very successful. They paired the menu of classic sandwiches and sumptuous cakes and pastries with specially selected teas and coffee.
A raffle was held and thanks to Mary’s Salon and Beauty Secrets for the gift vouchers. The first prize was a painting "Summer in Croom" and Tom Spillane of Croom had the fortune to win the painting by Clodagh Harrington

Thanks to all the team and the volunteers who helped to make these events very successful. Thank YOU for attending these events and making the day extra special.
