Croom Christmas Craft Market 2026: Christmas Shopping with a Local Touch
Looking for thoughtful Christmas gifts, handmade crafts and a chance to get into the festive spirit? Join us in Croom on Sunday, 22 November, for the fifth annual Croom Christmas Craft Market. There’s something special about finding a gift that feels a little different. Maybe it’s a handmade decoration, a piece of jewellery or something you know someone will love but would never think to buy for themselves. Now imagine finding those gifts under one roof, meeting the people who make them and taking a little time out to enjoy a hot chocolate or a cup of tea with friends. That’s what makes a visit to the Croom Christmas Craft Market worth adding to your November calendar.
Over the past five years, the market has provided an opportunity to showcase talented makers, support small businesses and bring people together in the lead-up to Christmas. Organising a market like this takes plenty of planning, but for Croom Community Development Association (CCDA), it is about more than setting up stalls. It is about creating an event where people can meet, browse, discover something new and enjoy being part of their community. Christmas shopping can sometimes feel like a race to get everything ticked off the list. A craft market offers a different experience. Instead of browsing the same high street shops, you can take your time exploring stalls, chatting to makers and discovering products you might not have come across otherwise. Whether you are shopping for family, friends, colleagues or that person who seems to have everything, the market is a chance to find something with a little more thought behind it.

Many crafters and small businesses put a great deal of time, care and creativity into what they produce. Being able to speak to them about their work gives you a different connection to the item you are buying. Your purchase does more than put a present under the tree. It helps support a small business, encourages creativity and allows independent makers to continue doing what they do best. Choosing to shop locally, where possible, is a simple way to make a difference, especially at a time of year when so much shopping happens online or in larger retail stores.
For us, the Christmas Craft Market has always been about more than shopping. It is about community spirit, connection and giving people a reason to come together. At the CCDA stall, you can pick up a cup of tea or coffee, enjoy a warming non-alcoholic mulled wine, or treat yourself to a hot chocolate topped with marshmallows and cream. We also have a seating area where you can take a break from browsing, sit down with a drink and have a chat with friends, family or neighbours. Sometimes, the best part of a community event is the conversation you weren't expecting to have. It might be catching up with someone you haven't seen in a while, meeting a neighbour for a chat or simply taking a few minutes to relax in good company. These small moments matter. They help strengthen the connections that make Croom such a special place to live, work and visit. So, whether you come along with a Christmas shopping list or simply want to enjoy the atmosphere, there will be a warm welcome waiting for you.
